KILLWHITENEYDEAD

Killwhitneydead. is an American deathcore band that makes extensive use of samples in their music. A common misconception of this band is that they are from Arizona. In truth, they hail from Greensboro, North Carolina.

They began as a studio project, releasing their EP Inhaling the Breath of a Bullet on Matt Rudzinski's record label Tribunal Records 8/20/2002. Two years later they changed their lineup and released their first full length album in 2004 Never Good Enough for You. Never Good Enough For You contains crowd favorites "She Didn't Look Like She Had a Disease," "Nothing Says Party Like Her Head on a Stick," and "The Fine and Subtle Art of Deception."

They are characterized by their mixture of blast beats, traditional metal riffs, hardcore "chugging" style guitars, and death metal singing. All of their songs include at least one audio sample (usually from a popular movie or television show), integrated as part of the lyrics.

After their third album, So Pretty So Plastic, they ceased to be just a studio band and began performing live. Members of The Demonstration, another Tribunal Records band, form the live band of Kill Whitney Dead. In 2007 they became Killwhitneydead. by helping to write and perform on the band's latest releases Nothing Less Nothing More and Hell to Pay. Both albums mark a move in a new direction both lyrically and musically. The new albums are more personal and the style is even more metal than before.

Killwhitneydead.'s lyrics may often sound misogynistic, but this is a common mistake that people make.

Matt stated on the Scene of the Crime DVD that he has no hatred for women. His lyrics draw from personal experiences and he creates songs to get out his frustration and anger. He says that the writing process is very cathartic for him.

They have been rated as one of the top MySpace bands in Greensboro.
